Who are you Judging?

We all can have a problem at times with judging other people. Finding faults with them, picking on them, pointing out their failures in life. God tells us in Matthew 7:1-5 that we should not judge others. We do not have that right. Think of American Idol .The job of Randy , Simon and Paula is to judge the performance of the singers. We complain about how hard they can be , mostly Simon. But don't we do that at times. We sit down at our judging table and talk about people as they walk by. This hurts, destroys and diminishes peoples lives. We have no right to do it to anyone, whether they are a Christian or not!Do you want to walk by the table and have others judge your every move?

Jesus shows us perfectly how to deal with this in John 8. He is dealing with the woman who had a sexual relationship with someone who was not her husband. Others were judging, shouting for them to stone her, but Jesus just said "Whoever has never sinned has the right to throw the first stone".. One by one they all walked away, realizing they have no right to judge the woman.

However, Jesus did not justify her sin of the affair with the man, he told her to "leave" her life of sin today.

When you see a friend that is doing something that is hurting them, talk with them, but don't judge them, remembering that you have sin in your life. Don't do it in a manner to make yourself look good measured against what they have done, this is just between you and them.

Who are you judging today? It does not please God and we should all want to please him.

Seeing Jesus In a New Light

How do you think of Jesus? The way that you view somebody can have a huge impact on how you feel about them and how you react to them. When we think of Jesus, we should remember that he was a real man who suffered horribly on the cross for YOU! Take some time to think about the crucifixion. Jesus could have called on angels to save him at any point while he was being tortured, but he didn't. He thought of your face each time he was whipped or beaten and he loved you so much that he thought you were worth each blow. In fact, Jesus knew every bad thing you would ever do and every time you would sin and he still loved you more than anybody else could. The thing about the crucifixion is that Jesus died so that you could be saved and spend eternity in Heaven with him but he also died so that you can have a personal relationship with him. Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus, it will change your life and you will never be the same! It's better than anything this world has to offer! 1 John 4:9-10 tells us that God showed us His love by sending Jesus to die so that we may live. Jesus became an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Now atoning means "to make ammends" so basically when Jesus died, he took care of everything we would ever do wrong. It's like getting a stain on a white T-shirt and then using bleach to take away the stain. Jesus took away all of our stains and made us clean again. Think about how much Jesus really loves YOU and make it something personal in your life!

Counting On God!

Counting on God.
Often in life we count on people to do things for us.
We count on people to show up for a meeting and we might say "I am counting on you to be there at 7".
We can do our part and show up, however sometimes people let us down.
In life God never does. He always shows up. We can count on him for strength to build us into what he wants.
Grab a Bible and read Nehemiah 4:1-23. The rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem which had been destroyed. They had people trying to stop them while they worked. God wants to rebuild your life and make you into something beautiful.
5 points to consider from this part of the bible.
*People will be angry at you for following God!
*You need to daily cry out to God for mercy and help.
*You ned to live for God with all of your heart. Don't just give him half your heart!
*You need to be on guard 24/7. Satan will attack you.
*Don't be afraid. God will fight for you .

As you go through this process of buidling your Christian life in Jesus you can Count on God to show up. He wants this to happen more than you!
